Julia Gould
Hunter/Jumper Trainer
Our fantastic hunter/jumper trainer, Julia, joined Yorkfield in 2018 and was one of Yorkfield’s first hires when it changed hands in 2018. Julia started as an avid show jumper at an early age and continued refining her skills through competitive jumping in college and afterward in her work as a rider and trainer in private farms around the northeast. A graduate of Centenary University, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Equine Studies with a concentration in Training the Horse. Julia’s specialization is show jumping, but has had the good fortune to have trained with industry experts in cross-country, fox hunting, and dressage as well. Julia loves the challenge of figuring each horse out and fine-tuning what they and their rider need to succeed. Julia works with all boarding horses and is accepting new ship-in clients.
John Roth
Founder/Owner
Our fearless leader, John, purchased the farm and opened Yorkfield Stables in 2018. Since then, he has painstakingly upgraded every corner of the property. The newly constructed, state-of-the-art barn and indoor arena opened in 2021. John’s childhood dream of opening an equestrian facility of his own came to fruition thanks to a tremendous (though he’d never say it himself) business career and his own personal passion for horses. Now retired, on any given day at Yorkfield, you’ll find John mending fences, dragging arenas, or devising plans for future improvements.
